Statutory Consumer Rights & Exemptions
1.0 Strict Health and Hygiene Exemption
We supply premium cosmetic products. Pursuant to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the right to cancel a contract does not apply to the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery.
Therefore, we legally cannot and will not accept the return of any fragrance that has been sprayed, primed, or used in any capacity. All returned items undergo rigorous inspection. If a product is found to have been sprayed or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to visually inspect the item, the return will be rejected and no refund will be issued.
1.1 Statutory Right to Cancel (Change of Mind)
Provided the goods remain entirely unused, unsprayed, and in their original resalable condition (as detailed in Clause 1.0), you have the statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire physical possession of the goods.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement. You shall send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation to us. The consumer bears the direct cost of returning the goods.
1.2 Damaged or Faulty Goods
In the event that your item arrives damaged, leaking, or develops a genuine manufacturing fault upon receipt, you are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You must contact us within 30 days of delivery to report a fault. We will cover the cost of return postage for genuinely faulty goods. Please be advised that a fragrance failing to suit your personal aesthetic preference does not constitute a manufacturing fault.
Product Testing & Discovery
2.0 The "Blind Buy" Clause
Fragrance is highly subjective. We proudly craft the finest designer inspired perfumes and perfume replicas in the UK, but we cannot accept returns for opened and sprayed items simply because the scent profile does not suit your personal taste.
We strongly advise purchasing our affordable discovery sets and sample packs prior to committing to a full-sized 50ml bottle, allowing you to test the Extrait safely on your own skin chemistry.
2.1 Subjective Perception & "Not As Described"
We meticulously hand-blend our Extraits to a precise, intended formula. However, olfactory perception is a highly subjective experience, uniquely influenced by individual skin chemistry, ambient temperature, and personal scent receptors.
Therefore, a fragrance being perceived differently to your personal expectations, or differing slightly from your perception of its designer inspiration, does not constitute the item being legally "faulty" or "not as described" under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. All our fragrances are supplied exactly as we have designed and intended them to be.

🇪🇺 EU Customs & Uncollected Parcels
To ensure a frictionless shopping experience for European Union customers, Alexandria Fragrances UK handles all customs clearance in the Netherlands and remits the required 21% Dutch Import VAT on your behalf. The price paid at checkout is final.
3.0 Responsibility to Collect
It is the buyer's sole responsibility to monitor courier tracking information. If a delivery cannot be completed, the parcel will be left at a local drop-off location. You must collect the parcel within the courier's specified timeframe.
3.1 Breach of Contract (Failure to Collect)
Failure to collect your parcel resulting in its automatic return to the UK constitutes a breach of your sales contract. In such instances, a refund will be processed minus the following non-recoverable costs:
- Original outbound shipping costs.
- The 21% Dutch Import VAT paid on your behalf (which cannot be reclaimed).
This clause operates separately from your statutory right to cancel an order prior to dispatch.
